Suggestions for the site
jameswilliams90@gmail.com 11 months ago	Hey Podloungers! The site continues to work well, and I have some suggestions for the interface at the front of the site. My general feel is that it's a good start with the what's new, hot, recently updated, but this could be expanded to provide more exposure to podcasters, and keep people looking at your site longer, and finding more of what they want to listen to. In this vein, I make the following suggestions. Suggestions only, take or leave as you see fit. 1) In your three categories, if a podcast falls into more than one category (eg. Hot, New, Recently Updated) then display it once. This will provide more space for other podcasters to get a look in. 2) I was also wondering whether there would be a way to scroll through larger lists (like a Top 100 What's Hot/New/Recently Updated), so that it's easier to browse more podcasts in these categories. 3) In the Tree view, would it be possible to expand and collapse the podcast titles, and possibly allow more podcasts to be recursed onto the page at one time (perhaps a selector to choose display 25, 50, 100, 250) at a time? 4) The numbered pages aren't really working for me. When I'm looking for titles it's hit and miss whether I get the right page number for the letter of the alphabet I'm seeking. I'm wondering whether an alpha selection, before a list of page numbers would work better? 5) The ability to sort the tree by categories, like most listens, hot, new, etc. might be useful to find newer podcasts. Just a few suggestions guys. Keep up the good work. James

This helps us to tailor the site making it a better experience for all Many of the items you have listed are already "in progress" and should start appearing next week. Although the 'alpha indexing' of results is something that we hadn't thought of - nice one! The ability to order results (either when browsing categories or search results) by most recent, most popular, name, and (for searches) relevance will be included. We're also introducing a more extensive user profile which will allow the setting of preferences including number of results per page. Many of the items you have listed are already "in progress" and should start appearing next week. Although the 'alpha indexing' of results is something that we hadn't thought of - nice one!
